Born as Marvin LeVaughn Reese Jr. but goes by MJ Reese, developed a love for music an early age. From the age of 5 his mother helped polish his gift of singing. He would later on be inspired by his parents, aunts, uncles, and a host of cousins to pursue writing and performing his own music. Over the course of his musical journey he has either written, arranged, or performed hundreds of songs. . .
MJ Reese is the grandson of Rev. Dr. Frederick D. Reese, whom was the leader who officially signed the invitation to invite Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. to Selma, Alabama to help assist with the Voting Rights Movement.
With Reese's bloodline and up bringing MJ has been consistent and resilient to never give up on his purpose and always use his God given ability.
